The Bridge is a sports media house exclusively focussed on Indian Sports that puts a special emphasis on Olympic Sports, Paralympic Sports, and Women’s Sports. Combining various forms of textual and visual storytelling, the organization works toward bridging the gap in Indian Sports.
Shuvro Ghoshal, a lifelong Indian Sports fan, co-founded The Bridge with Arshi Yasin in 2017.
The Bridge’s Tokyo Olympics coverage in 2021 garnered the attention of millions of people globally. The feather in the hat moment came when the former Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports – Shri Kiren Rijiju sent out a Tweet appreciating the efforts of the entire team.
The coverage of India’s journey at the Olympics ensured multiple brands including the Principal Partner of Indian Olympic Association MPL Sports Foundation, Inox, Bridgestone, and others join hands with us to create videos and textual content & also amplify their campaigns related to the Olympics and the glory of the Games.
We truly bridged the gap in Indian sports after pioneering the LIVE broadcast of the Karnataka Women’s League, the first time an entire Women’s Super Division was broadcast LIVE. Over 3 lakh people across 50+ countries watched the League LIVE on the YouTube and Facebook channels of The Bridge.
The organization also became the first workplace in the Indian sports industry to offer period leaves to all female employees – staying true to its core value of employee empowerment.
